Paneer Butter / (makkhanwala) Masala

Its been long time, I didn't prepare paneer curry at home. So I was suggested to prepare new dish of paneer. So I tried today Panner Butter /makkhanwala. See below.

Ingredients :
Cottage cheese (paneer), cut into square 500 grams
Butter 5 tablespoons
Oil 1 teaspoon
Bay leaves 2 (optional)
Cloves 2 (optional)
Cinnamon 2 one-inch sticks (optional)
Dried red chillies, broken 2
Coriander seeds 2 tablespoons
Onion , chopped 1 medium
Ginger- garlic paste 1 teaspoons
Coriander powder 1 teaspoon
Red chilli powder 1 teaspoon
Turmeric powder 1 teaspoon
Tomatoes, chopped 5-6 medium
Salt to taste
Kasoori methi , crushed 1/2 teaspoon
water 11/2 cup
Fresh cream 1/2 cup (optional)
Curd 2 tbsp
Coriander leaves chopped for garnish

Method:

First dry roast red chili and coriander seeds . once cool, grind coarsely. and keep aside.
Take a pan , add oil and 2 sp of butter together.
Once become in golden colour, add bay leaves,cloves and Cinnamon . (If you dont want to add these, you can replace this by 1 tsp of garam masala.)
Add onion and crushed red chili and coriander seeds.Sauté till it become golden in colour.Add ginger garlic paste.
After half a minute, add red chili powder,termeric,coriander powder,garam masala in case don't want to add bay leaves and other spices.Add tomoto.Cook til
it gets mashed. then remove from flame. make it cool.Once it cools, make puree in grinder.
Mean while ,take another pan Add remaining butter and fry paneer in gold colour.
Keep aside. Use same pan, cook puree in it . Add salt, water ,curd together and boil till get thick gravy. Then add kasoori methi powder
and paneer and cook for another 5 mins . then garnish with coriender leaves and piece of butter and serve hot with chapati/roti. :)
